Flexible benefits could be needed as employees ''are still reluctant to move''
Employers hoping to attract the best staff in the financial services industry may have to offer excellent employee benefits as many workers are not willing to move jobs in the current financial climate.
Mark Seymour, director of Hays Insurance and Financial Services, said that the number of new positions in the sector was growing as a result of tighter regulations and a greater need for financial planning.
However, he said that firms were only looking to employ the very best staff as they looked to learn from past mistakes.
"The insurance market has shown resilience to the recession with steady demand for experienced personnel over the last six months," Mr Seymour noted.
According to the CBI, the financial sector grew during the last three months at the fastest rate since December 2007.
Companies could look to use this upturn in fortunes to offer competitive employee benefits packages to attract the best employees in the financial sector.
